Easley Jr.<\/a> told Raleigh TV news station WTVD ABC 11 in an Oct. 1, 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/abc11.com\/post\/govt-shutdown-2025-how-federal-government-impacts-workers-north-carolina\/17919641\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">story<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Easley, former U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina, told ABC 11 that a U.S. attorney\u2019s office has an entire division of civil attorneys who handle cases ranging from environmental enforcement matters to cyber investigations to recovery of assets.
